Privacy Policy for Nottinghamshire Reiki and Meditation (nottsreiki)

Nottinghamshire Reiki and Meditation is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

- We treat all information provided to us with the utmost confidentiality and will not disclose it to anyone outside (nottsreiki), except in extenuating circumstances outlined below.
- Personal information about clients will not be shared with third parties, including family members, without the client's consent.
- Information will only be disclosed to another agency with the client's explicit consent.

Exceptions to Confidentiality:
Confidentiality may be breached in certain circumstances, including:
- Risk to children.
- Risk of harm to the client or others.
- Disclosure of criminal activity.
- Possible terrorist threats.

Any decision to breach confidentiality will be made in consultation with the Deputy Chief Executive or a member of the Management Board, and careful notes will be kept of any incidents.

Use of Client Information:
- We may use anonymized client information for publicity purposes, with the client's written consent.
- Client information may be used for training purposes, with identifying details removed.
- Client records and correspondence will be securely kept and destroyed after 2 years, unless permission for retention is obtained.

Evaluation and Monitoring:
- Data collected will be used for planning, marketing, and supervision purposes.
- Data analysis will not contain personal information and will solely serve to evaluate and monitor our services.
 
Policy Awareness:
- All staff and volunteers will receive a copy of this policy upon joining (nottsreiki).
- Training will be provided to ensure understanding and compliance with the Confidentiality Policy.
- This policy applies to all paid employees and volunteers and will be reviewed annually.

Breach of Confidentiality:
Breach of confidentiality may result in disciplinary action.
