Rooted Reiki Education
At Nottinghamshire Reiki and Meditation we offer an authentic approach to Traditional Japanese Reiki education, drawing on the original teachings.
If you're drawn to the roots of Reiki and eager to explore its traditional Japanese origins, our courses provide the ideal pathway. We focus on rediscovering the essence of Reiki before it ventured into the Western world, offering a deeper understanding beyond modern interpretations.
Our curriculum comprises three levels of training, each meticulously designed to deliver learning with in-person instruction thus ensuring a comprehensive educational experience for every student. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to participate in regular practice groups to further enhance your skills and knowledge.

Shoden Reiki Level I
Shoden is a Japanese word meaning 'first teachings'. These are the first teachings of the system of Reiki. In our practical Shoden courses you will learn how to help yourself with a daily healing practice and how you can also help your friends and family using Japanese healing techniques.
Okuden Reiki Level II
Okuden is a Japanese word meaning 'inner teachings'. As the word implies, a deeper understanding and connection to Usui Mikao’s teachings is achieved during this course. Utilizing Japanese principles, this level teaches how to connect to Earth and Heaven energy; the first steps to becoming fully integrated with the universe. This is achieved through the practice of shirushi (symbols) and jumon (mantras). This level will also support you in becoming a professional Reiki practitioner if that is your interest.
Shinpiden Reiki Level IIIa and IIIb (Not being held)
Shinpiden is the Japanese word for ‘mystery teachings’. It is aimed at Level II practitioners or established Reiki Teachers who wish to continue their personal journey, a journey that is ongoing long after you complete the Shinpiden course. It is therefore not just about teaching and is even suitable for those who wish to simply develop their personal Reiki practise and occasionally teach those around them.
Reiki Crystal Healing
Discover the ancient art of traditional Japanese crystal healing, deeply rooted in centuries-old wisdom and practices.This is available to anyone who has successfully completed a face to face Level one Reiki course and above and NOT an online course.
You could consider it a “bolt on” course for additional knowledge and treatment.
Additionally, for those transitioning from other training centers, (NOT ONLINE COURSES) we offer a specialised transition course to seamlessly integrate you into our program.
